What are Prism Glasses?

Book Appointment

Prism glasses can help with double vision and also after a traumatic brain injury (TBI)/concussion to help with balance, depth perception, and improve feedback.

Prism glasses work by bending light rays that hit the retina and can therefore help correct the double vision.

Yoked prisms shift images in both eyes in the same direction. This shift’s the patient’s center of gravity and therefore causes a postural change that can shift attention.

Vision therapy uses different types of prisms that help improve the eye brain connection. Over time the amount of prism will be reduced as you gain improved balance and coordination.

Perception Eyecare offers vision therapy to patients in Stoney creek, Hamilton, Binbrook, Ancaster, Burlington, and throughout Ontario.

Call us at (289) 309 – 1090 to schedule an appointment with our eye doctor Dr. Jasjeet Shinger if you are interested in prism glasses today.
