MiBo Thermoflo for Treatment of Dry Eye

If your eyes are painful, scratchy, red, watering, irritated or feel dry MiBo Thermoflo may offer relief.

What is MiBo Thermoflo?

It is a therapeutic device that delivers heat to unblock the tear ducts in the eyelids called meibomian glands. It releases heat at a temperature of 42.8 degrees celsius to help unclog the blocked tear ducts. Meibomian glands are located in the eyelids that produce oil for the tears to help improve the term film and when they are blocked it can cause dry eyes.

Is the MiBo Thermoflo treatment painful?

The heat from the device is not hot enough to injure the eyelids. The treatment is pain free and most patients find it very soothing and relaxing. The treatment itself takes about 20-30 minutes.
